Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This document is a starting point written to describe our data practices honestly. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and must not be treated as a final policy until it has.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

  • Account information: name, email, shop name.
  • Billing information, handled by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store your full card number ourselves.
  • Listing content: instrument details, photos, generated descriptions, and specs you create or upload.
  • Your MusicShop360 connection details, including the credentials of the dedicated login you create for MusicShopHelp.

We also collect basic usage information automatically, such as which pages you visit and how many listings you create, so we can operate and improve the service and calculate your billing.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Operate your account and generate and publish listings.
  • Calculate usage and bill your subscription and any overage.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Maintain security, including detecting and preventing abuse across accounts.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use one shop’s listing content to help another shop.

3. Your MusicShop360 credentials — read this section

The MusicShop360 login you connect is stored encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption, with the decryption key held separately from the database. It is decrypted only at the moment MusicShopHelp needs to publish a listing on your behalf, and is never shown back to us in plain text or logged.

This connection exists solely so MusicShopHelp can act on your MusicShop360 account the way a staff member would, at your direction. You can remove this connection at any time from your account settings, which stops MusicShopHelp from accessing your MusicShop360 account.

4. Data isolation between shops

Your listings, photos, and shop settings are stored separately from every other shop on MusicShopHelp, enforced at the database level. No other shop can see or access your data, and we do not combine or share data across shops.

5. Who we share data with

We share information only with the service providers (“subprocessors”) that help us run MusicShopHelp, including hosting and database infrastructure, payment processing, and the AI providers used to draft listing content. Each is bound to use your data only to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes. We do not share your data with MusicShop360 or Quilt Software except in the form of the listing you choose to publish.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, you can export your listings, and you can ask us to delete your account data entirely; we will do so except where we are required to retain limited billing records by law.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants additional data protection rights, we will honor those rights as required by applicable law.

8. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

9. Children’s privacy

MusicShopHelp is a business tool intended for adults operating a retail shop and is not directed at children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
